Dr. Mingkwan Thongpruksa is the Chief Economist at BBL Asset Management (BBLAM). Prior to joining BBLAM, she has worked with financial institutions and government organizations, building expertise in macroeconomics, financial economics, and econometrics.
She has also taught as a Visiting Lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University, and Prince of Songkhla University, offering courses in macroeconomics, quantitative methods, and international economics. Dr. Mingkwan further contributes to academic research, including the Thailand’s Individual Savings Accounts (TISAs) project conducted under TU-RAC and submitted to the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF).
She holds a Ph.D. in Regional Science from Cornell University, funded by the Anandamahidol Foundation Scholarship, and a bachelor’s degree in economics (English Program) from Thammasat University. She received the Young Economist Award from the Thammasat Economics Association in 2022.
